Recording

Click the extension icon, or press Ctrl+Shift+Y (change it at
chrome://extensions/shortcuts). - Choose This tab, Window or Screen, and optionally a camera and microphone, then press Record.
- With a camera on, a small floating window shows you while you record. It is not part of the recording; your camera is added in the editor, where you can move, resize or hide it. Screen recordings don't show it, as it would be recorded twice.
- Pause and resume with Ctrl+Shift+U, the buttons in the floating camera window, the recording window, or by right-clicking the extension icon. Paused time is left out of the video.
- For tab recordings, Cursor in the recorder bar gives the recorded page a custom cursor (colour, size, hide when not moving). It is part of the video, so choose it before you record.
- Stop with the icon, the shortcut, Chrome's "Stop sharing" bar, or by closing the recorded tab.
Editing
Select a clip in the timeline to change its speed (0.25× to 4×), copy it or delete it. Export as MP4, WebM or, for clips up to 30 seconds, a GIF.
Clicks and zooms stop when the recorded tab moves to another site, unless you turn on Follow clicks to other sites in the editor's Settings tab.

Troubleshooting
The recorder doesn't appear on a page. Chrome doesn't allow extensions on its own pages (such
as
chrome:// pages and the Web Store). The recorder opens in its own window there; record a window
or your screen instead.
Camera or microphone is blocked. Click the camera icon in Chrome's address bar on the recorder,
or open
chrome://settings/content, and allow access for the extension.
No zooms were added. Automatic zoom uses your clicks, which are captured when you record a
browser tab. For window and screen recordings, add zooms yourself with Z.
A recording was interrupted. If Chrome closes or the recorder stops unexpectedly, everything up
to that moment is kept. Open it from the Recordings page; it's repaired automatically.
Low disk space. Recordings are stored on your computer until you delete them. Delete old ones
from the Recordings page to free space.
